IFTF seeking new members for the Board of Directors

The Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation, the non-profit supporter of this very forum as well as many other fine programs, is seeking new board members to help support, promote, and grow the IF community.

From the self-nomination form:

The board provides IFTF’s strategic leadership, making sure that all its programs fulfill the organization’s mission and adhere to its values, while evaluating new projects and directions as well. Serving a two-year volunteer term on IFTF’s board represents a highly-visible opportunity to advocate for, support, and preserve interactive fiction as an art form.

Serving on IFTF’s board does not require any previous board or nonprofit experience.

Anyone may self-nominate by submitting this form. The deadline is September 30, 2023.

The nomination form includes many more details on opportunities and duties associated with being a member of the IFTF board.

We hope you’ll consider joining us!

Reminder that the application deadline for this is coming up! We’d love to welcome forum participants to the Board to help shape the direction of IF support and preservation for years to come. No previous non-profit or board experience is necessary—just enthusiasm for the artform.

(If you’ve applied to the board in a previous round, please consider doing so again! We’ve had more talented people in our candidate pools than we could accommodate, but this is a new cycle and we have multiple spots open.)
