Huh. What do you do about spam on IFDB? Yesterday someone added Truck Raid (ifdb entry), a graphical action game: AFAICT it has nothing to do with interactive fiction at all?

Based on the name on the itch.io page, it looks like the author themselves created the IFDB page. It also looks like they created an IFDB account just to do that, as it didn’t exist before yesterday.

It’s a good question. We don’t have a direct policy about deleting non-IF games, as it’s hard to police what counts and what doesn’t. And in the past we’ve only deleted a non-IF game once and it was because they engaged in a lot of other spammy behavior. So there’s not really a precedent for removing something like this. If one of the other mods wants to get rid of it, I’d support it, but I think under current policy we just let it lay low as long as they aren’t causing problems.

Rogue Star Rescue was removed as it was clearly an action game (shooter):
In such obvious circumstances it should be straight forward: Action game not made with IF tools.
