IFComp Website UI Upgrade

The ifcomp website now is running with the latest Bootstrap responsive UI toolkit. The main advantage is that there’s now a built-in way to change the theme between light and dark modes, but there are a bunch of other design improvements as well.

As with any major overhaul, there might be some mistakes. I may have overlooked something, or gotten something wrong. I did get some excellent feedback which caught a few problems already (shoutout to Brett and Manon).

Please reach out if you spot any problems. Thanks!

the only problem is a needed QoL in browsing past years: the buttons linking to the other years ought to be at, or at least also, on the top of the entry list, avoiding an scroll down (of scores of entries…).

Agreed - I’ll come up with a way to do this cleanly

The contrast is a little low on some of the dark mode links, FYI!

Also, should the heading of this page be “Results of the 2024 IFComp” instead of “Winners”? IFComp 2024

Looks like Winners is on all the results pages. :eyes:

(the colour contrast is at 3.43 looking at the inspect tool, changing it to #4992ff would make a lot of difference!)

The buttons at the top of the results pages don’t look right on mobile, especially in prior years.
