IFComp post-competition survey

I haven’t yet seen anyone post this. Apologies if it’s a duplicate or if I’m stepping on anyone’s toes by jumping the gun.

Anyway, the IFComp post-competition survey is at this address: 2025 IFComp Post-Competition Survey

People expressed a variety of issues in the forum during the course of the Comp; this survey is the primary way of making those concerns heard to by the people who run it.

Ah, thank you for the link! Dealing with this now. I hope everyone remembers to provide valuable feedback this year!

A post was merged into an existing topic: Short Games Showcase - Feedback Thread

I did this right when the Awards stream ended! I think it’s nice how we can share feedback even if we hadn’t participated in the comp.

Also just filled it in.

Great questions, thanks for making this survey.

Not my survey! I just posted the link. (Probably you understand that already and weren’t speaking directly to me. I just want to be sure I don’t get credited accidentally.)

Yeah, I was speaking to the anonymous survey maker.

Just wanted to be sure to be 100% clear.

How long is the survey active, anyway?

I filled mine out :sparkles:

I asked @Jacqueline, telling her folks here had been asking. Here is her response:

I have never set a hard deadline for the survey, and generally leave it open for quite a while. Usually, interest in taking the survey dies off by the time I need the data.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for doing that. Much obliged.

I Voted! (It was actually like a week ago but I want to keep the thread going)

Anybody else need to do this still?

I just completed mine. Was very glad to see grappling with GAI, and did not realize the UK laws reached us here. As I was unable to participate this year due to life intrusion, I remained in my TADS bubble and so missed what appears to be multiple now-locked threads on GAI. I do not mean to torch ANOTHER open topic with this discussion, but am powerless before my inner rage monster to avoid make one comment:

I will never, ever, EVER knowingly review a work that uses GAI outside of cover art. EVER. Nor can I promise my chemical brain will not punish works that use it in my ratings. I WANT to just avoid them and not engage at all, but that inner rage monster is STRONG.
