Huh, I always thought it was two syllables, “ifck-omp”.
I think this is a beautiful thread. There are as many ways to pronounce “IFComp” as there are varieties of interactive fiction, and we keep coming up with new ones every day!
Don’t forget accents. “eef-coomp”.
That’s not how I pronounce it though.
