Here’s a copy of my post on this topic from the r/twinegames subreddit when someone asked a question about what had happened to Philome.la and what alternatives there are:
See the “Philome.la is shutting down at the end of the month.” announcement posted here a little under a month ago.
Chapel has a list of some other online Twine publishing resources here.
Personally, I use a combination of Google Drive, to store all of the files, DriveToWeb, to make the Google Drive content accessible like a webpage (you’ll need to mark the content as “shared” in Google Drive), and Bitly, to provide a shorter URL. For example, that’s how I provide access to my Twine/SugarCube sample code collection.
That said, I will note that Reddit and some other sites block Bitly links by default, since it could be used to link to anything . This means that I have to approve my own Reddit posts when I use a Bitly link like that last one, otherwise the post sits hidden in moderation until another mod approves it.
The upside is, if I ever move my files somewhere else, I can just modify that Bitly link to point to the new location, and everyone’s Bitly bookmarks to my stuff will still work. Easy-peasy.
Hope that helps!
