Horizon Theme

The Discourse update included a new built-in theme called Horizon.
It’s very clean with less post-activity clutter on the home page, rounded buttons, search bar at the top, and has two color schemes: “Horizon” and “Horizon Dark”.

I’ve been wondering if we should consider changing the default theme too. I haven’t spent much time using it though.

Any chance it’s more consistent with how the reactions are shown?

I believe our default IntFiction theme is pretty close to the default Discourse theme (at least as it was when we started using Discourse) with a little bit of color tweaking and a moderate amount of UI configuration.

Horizon is actually growing on me for its lack of clutter - and I’m actually not mad at it in light mode even though I’m basically half-grue; and that it’s not devoid of color on the category page.

I can set Horizon as the active theme - I don’t think it will change people’s existing settings but would become default for new users.

So this didn’t change my “theme”, but it did change my “color palette”. Perhaps my mistake was not setting the palette to start with? Or is this a new option?

Anyway, until I figured it out, I had a “Dark” theme with a bright background. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

One thing that’s been cleaned up is tags on the topics list. I guess it’s not essential, but I got used to seeing them there.
