Hi all. I’m stuck with trying to get the silver key.
I know the solution is to use the plasma globe, but I just can’t come up with the right wording. I’ve tried HOLD GLOBE OVER VENT and HOLD GLOBE ON VENT and even RUB GLOBE ON VENT (suggested by the HELP text), but none of those work.
I think I’m playing release one of the game (downloaded from IFDB).

PUT GLOBE ON VENT gets me “Putting things on the vent would achieve nothing.” PUT GLOBE IN VENT gives “That can’t contain things.” PUT GLOBE OVER VENT results in “I didn’t understand that sentence.”
Ah, you need to do something first. Here’s what I did:
>rub plasma
You rub the plasma globe.
>put plasma on vent
You hover the plasma globe over the vent and watch as the static electricity quickly pulls all the dust and lost items up to it – crumbs, pencil shavings, coins… and suddenly a shiny silver key!
That’s still not working! I’m going to see if there’s a more recent update of the game…
Strange. The version I played is marked Release 1.
