I started playing this a while back and stalled out a bit when I couldn’t figure out how to progress. Now I’m trying to pick it back up again but I still can’t figure out what I’m meant to be doing next.
The game seems to hint pretty clearly that I shouldn’t be trying to fight the Snow Queen without a full party, but right now I only have four characters: Ebenezabeth, Eunoia, Hrieman and Cole. As far as I can tell, I’ve done everything there is to do in the following locations: Wessex, Deimos, Honolulu, Nonolulu and Jardinver. So either I’ve failed to notice an objective of some sort, I’ve overlooked a fire somewhere that I can use to access a new area, or it’s time to fight the Queen now and the fifth phylactery is just a decoy. That third one seems fairly unlikely but I don’t know where else to look for one of the first two things.
Hrm, it’s been a while, I’m not sure I remember the names. Let’s see, Eunoia is the mermaid, right? Oh, and Cole is the space cowboy? So IIRC there’s also a fairy knight (butterfly knight?) that you can convince to join you.

I’m now stuck again at what I think is the very end of the game. Ebenezabeth and the Queen are floating in the Abyss, and pretty much every command I enter tells me either that the Queen is too far away or that the concept of what I’m trying to do has no meaning here. There are some formless things congregating around the Queen which I figure I’m meant to save her from, but I can’t figure out how to do anything at all.
Hrm. That I don’t remember, but David Welbourn has a walkthrough, so let me see if I can find enough there to hint it… ah. you are not supposed to save her from them and in fact it seems they’re there to help you out and full spoiler talk to them?
Ah, I thought I’d tried that, but that’s what I get for being unfamiliar with the word “congeries”, combined with the game rejecting attempts to interact with it using a plural noun…
