Ghostship Delgado text adventure released for the Amstrad CPC (+Windows/Mac emulators)

I’m very pleased to announce a conversion of my game Ghostship Delgado for the retro computer Amstrad CPC range. The game can also played on a Windows or Mac computer using an Amstrad emulator.

Take on the role of George Pike, a happy go lucky chap renting a yacht on the holiday of his lifetime in the 1960s. George is accompanied by his partner, sleeping on the lower deck, and Ruffles, George’s trusty dog.

While dozing off to sleep in the sunshine of the upper deck you awake to find yourself on the quarter deck of a mysterious, seemingly abandoned historic ship…

Find out more and download the game over at itch:-

If you don’t have a real Amstrad CPC (most of us I’m sure do not!), there’s full downloadable instructions how to play the game on a modern computer.

Enjoy!

I endorse this endorsement. I tested the Amstrad version of GD and can attest it’s a fun two-word parser adventure in two parts.

I know there’s a lot of Halloween IF competition at the moment, but don’t forget, this is a ghost ship!

I’d never touched a real Amstrad in life before playing this game. I still haven’t. However the emulator, which is a fun one rather than one of those techy command line ones, gave me a taste of the computer. A nice feature is that it emulates the Amstrad floppy drive head noises, though you don’t hear them again after loading, as the whole game sits in RAM. Tony’s included excellent instructions for running the game, which I used myself.

Plus there are feelies, clue sheets, etc.
