generally put the speakers in the left margin, usually abbreviated to one or two letters. But when I pulled up the online Loeb, it has the speakers on their own lines:

Centered names, I believe, is a modern convention mostly used as reading scripts for movie/TV productions.

Names on margins are what traditionally written to maximize paper space.
