I am new to IF development these past few months, though played Dungeon (official name of the first Zork) 45 years ago. I am always looking for new ways to present educational material, so I did a couple of simple stories to learn Inform7.
One game “Adaptive Defense” is very short and simple, once you understand what it is about (11 locations)
The “To Samarkand” is a result of my trying to adapt content I already had. The location descriptions came from my research about the Silk Road (for an app), and I thought that might be a fun setting. The overview art is watercolors from artist and friend Leith Walton. I think it is still fairly easy, though perhaps long. (51 locations)
Still a beginner, but just for fun (and the grandkids), I created a Halloween story.
What I am having most fun doing is writing. The IF format gives freedom to be a little crazy and not even always make sense, and I liked being able to make movie or book references that are actually clues. It is ‘One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish’ at my games page:
Odd situation. https is enabled for the site, and works from my computer. But I have had other complaints also, am looking into it. Meanwhile, I cannot edit that post, but here it is with http.
You should be able to edit the post. Look for the pencil icon at the bottom in the same row as the like, share and flag icons. If it’s not there, it may be a permissions related thing.
As far as I can tell, I cannot edit posts older than a few days. I don’t know what the time limit is, but all older posts of mine no longer have the edit pencil. I have edited posts frequently.
