I meant to post this much earlier and forgot because I’m having a crap month. But the 30th is the deadline, so there’s still a little time.
The Key West Literary Seminar is pretty awesome. My grandfather, mother, and aunt used to go every year, and I’ve gone a few times. I met Margaret Atwood there!
They have an “emerging writer” award in 3 categories: poetry, short story, and novel-in-progress. I see absolutely no reason why one couldn’t submit IF in any of these categories. The rule says, “Writers of any age who live in the United States and have not yet published a book with a major publisher are eligible to apply.”
They have a $12 fee. I hope one of us submits!
