May we add a category for La Petite Mort vs Grand Guignol? I can do it also
Feel free to edit the sheet to make stuff more easy to find!
(same with formatting/colours/conditional stuff)
I just quickly copy-pasted the basic info so people could get started/settled
Aight, unless I made a mistake, all currently available entries are listed on the sheet, seperated by language.
(there’s only one Italian game missing but it doesn’t appear on the EctoComp submission page)
Amazing. Thanks!
I have added a new Spanish game that is a late submission because of technical problems
I’m not familiar enough with Google Sheets to want to try fixing this myself, but “mort” is feminine so the category should be “La Petite Mort” (with an “e”) rather than “La Petit Mort” (without an “e”).
Edited
It’s been 2 days and we already have (linked) as many reviews as there are entries!
Been updating the spreadsheet since a few more threads popped up.
We passed 50 reviews/comments some time last night/yesterday evening (and over 200 ratings too!).
Do I understand correctly that every participant is encouraged to share feedback either by appointing stars or even in the form of a review? If it is so, the open call itself is its own guard, since every novice-reviewer would try tripple hard to pass in the eyes of the whole community. That is actually the spookiest part of Ectocomp, at least for some of us.
That would be more of a for-@Ruber_Eaglenest -question, but Authors have shared their thoughts/reviewed/commented/rated in the past.
(incl. a couple of authors of this year’s Ectocomp accodring to the Spreadsheet)
Thank you Manon. Now thinking of it, we can always share feedback at itch.io - directly under the game, no need to go public here at the forum, more so if someone is not sure about their diplomatic and language skills.
I never thought it as this, as sharing feedback has been a vital part of the community since the beginning of the ages, for every game. I mean, that is not something exclusive of Ectocomp. It is part of the culture.
But, don’t feel obligued to do so.
Also, if you comment the games at itchios page (something a lot of us do in the spanish community), eventually your reviews will end in the spreadsheet. So, feel free to point us that you want to “opt out” of being recorded there.
Thanks!
Thanks Ruber, it is the other way round - the option of giving feedback looks very atractice because it multiplies the feeling of belonging to the community. I just wasn’t sure whether to hold myself and my students back, or give it a full go.
We just passed 100 reviews! (and over 300 ratings too!)
Thank you to everyone who has played and reviewed my game! This is totally not related, but ever since I settled on the title, I’ve had this stuck in my head. A classic from 1985! Enjoy!
And it reminds of my good ol’ Commodore 64 that I learned to write Basic on. And now I’m thinking I spelled Nightshift wrong in my game title.
