Cursor Animations using Javascript in Twine Harlowe 3.1

Twine Version: 3.1
Story Format: Harlowe

I am trying to add a cursor animation that appears on all of the passages throughout my story. I copied and pasted the code into the edit story JavaScript page and it did not work. I also tried pasting the code directly into the passage and using the tag and it did not work. I am not sure what else to do to make this work. I’d appreciate any help!
