At this time, ChronicleHub will require you to register an account and log in to play, but unregistered play without logging in is being tested and is planned.
You can demo the game without creating an account (which will save your progress in your browser cache.)
Full discussion about the development of ChronicleHub is available in the dedicated topic:
I’m stuck in a loop at “Begin Your Journey”. It briefly says “Building World…”, then shows some kind of menu with “+ Start New Game” on it, but goes back to “Begin Your Journey” before I can read more than that. This is in Firefox 147 on Android.
The way you and Hanon describe it, that seems to be the “guest” bug that’s top of my list to fix. Would you like me to notify you once I have? Registering an account is also possible as @HanonO mentioned
You can now play ChronicleHub games and demo Cloak of Darkness without registering an account or logging in!
Unregistered play allows you one save-slot/character which is stored in your browser cache, so be aware any progress will be wiped if you clear your cache and cookies. This would be more important in a larger world of course.
Registering an account and logging in allows multiple saves and characters in a given world. I don’t know if there is a limit, but I know I’ve had to delete something like 10 slots to clear them out when testing and restarting CoD.
