Hi, can anybody suggest a game title suitable for a chemistry or biology informal lesson with students 13+?
There’s plenty of science fiction works. Many, many games are on the IFDB, so check that out with the keywords you’re looking for. How related/accurate to science does the work need to be? The only tangentially related nonfiction work I can think of is A Beauty Cold and Austere, but that’s about conceptual mathematics, not chemistry/biology.
There are two recent games by thesleuthacademy that might fit the bill – they’re murder-mysteries turning on biochemical forensic work, one in Inform and one in Twine:
There’s also Cheiron, which was designed as a med-school study aid, but it’s pretty old and inaccessible so I doubt it’d be a good fit:
Thanks a lot. I will start with these titles and try to use the key words as you suggested. I am looking for anything that might be used as a light ice-break in teaching any aspect of biology/chemistry. The best linear fiction I know regarding chemistry is Asimov’s The Gods Themselves eith the innitisl puzzle which I used on a lesson focused on elements.
