Hi, I’m very dizzy right now (insomnia) so hopefully my English is fine.
The categories mode for mobile just shows the categories. I’m not sure when this happened.
I’d appreciate the option to see the topics under each category on one screen again. This new layout is incredibly disorienting (though the picture banners are admittedly a nice touch).
I might have missed a setting, but I’d happily trade away the banners to get the topic listings per category back.

It’s actually showing more subcategory detail now - main categories and sub-categories. (The topics / threads are listed on the side.
Previously it was
Main Category
- subcategory subcategory subcategory | Three most recent topics in the
- subcategory subcategory subcategory | main or subcategories
Now it’s
Main Category Link
- subcategory | three recent topics in the subcategory
- subcategory | three recent topics in the subcategory
- subcategory | three recent topics in the subcategory
So technically you are seeing more information on that screen about recent topics in every subcategory than the previous version which showed just the top three recent topics under the entire main category or subcategories.
I am happy to change it back, but are you sure that more information isn’t more useful and you’re just experiencing reflexive aversion to any change?
[Edit] Checked mobile, and you’re not seeing the recent topics on the right as you do in desktop. So on mobile it’s now just spread out more instead of having bullets and subcategories in a cluster, they’re all listed out on their own lines.

The new interface is hideous. I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed the change, I thought I’d gone mad or something, since I typically tap directly into the threads I normally post on from the front page, and was confronted with big ol’ pictures eating up the screen real estate.
Yeah, for mobile, only the site feedback category had any topics listed. Topics were completely hidden for everything else.
