This has been happening to me for a few months but I ignored it, chalking it to internet weather. But hitting GO does all the things, and instead of story output it displays a blank page.
Is there a cache I need to clear or a cookie I need to throw away or some weird Mac/Safari issue I need to research?
It’s happening with snippets here and on https://borogove.app
Is the GO button meant to play the story file? If so, nothing happens for me either, though I can download the output from the Share tab. I’ve never used this site before, so we can probably rule out stale cookies.
P.S. Using Firefox here, in Linux.
I’ve had this intermittently on Chrome on Android. Using the “Inform 7 with Vorple” setting rather than plain “Inform 7” often fixes it for some reason.
Anything in the Javascript console?
Another data point: I’m not seeing this behavior (i.e. hitting “go” works as expected) on:
Chrome Version 128.0.6613.138
macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)
This is for both the Borogove Inform 7 IDE and Snippets without Vorple.
For reference, I’m Safari Version 17.6 (19618.3.11.11.5)
OSX Sonoma Version 14.6.1 (23G93)
I broke down and installed Chrome on Mac. Same behavior; Vorple Works but regular Inform 7 does not.
Same thing with your snippet - hitting Play produces a blank screen.
What about the snippet I included in my post above? In other words, is happening with other people’s snippets here, or just ones you try to post?
