I’m seeking testers for a new game with a horror theme. You play the part of an 8-year-old boy who is on holidays at his aunt’s farm when…well…that’s all I can tell you without giving anything away.
This is a parser-based game. It has a large map, an interesting story and lots of puzzles. I think the puzzles are generally easy, but it might take you a while to find all the things you need. There is no sudden death, but you can get killed if you ignore the warnings. (Of course, you can always UNDO.) You can also expect some juggling of inventory items, as there are a lot of objects.
I think it would take at least two hours to play, but allow (say) 4 hours, depending on your experience.
It’s written with PunyInform and compiled to a z5 file, so you’ll need a z-code interpreter to play it. Alternatively, you can use Parchment at https://iplayif.com/.
If interested, send me a personal message and I’ll send you the z5 story file.
No time frame. It’s not for a comp or anything like that, at least not at this stage. Even so, it’s nice to get the testing done while everything is still fresh in my mind. Would two weeks be okay?
It’s written in Inform 6 using the PunyInform library. The part of @Warrigal 's post that tells you that is this part:
However, for any game that can run on Parchment (the web-based interpreter), you don’t actually need to know what system it was made with, because it will work for games in lots of different formats.
