Several people have asked me about the timing of publishing games to itch (for people in back garden who are self hosting or for people that like to do both site-hosting and itch-hosting).
I’ve advised them to publish on March 31st to ensure that all games are playable when Spring Thing opens April 1st. So if you see itch games available before they are ‘supposed’ to be, it’s just fine!

Thanks! The contents of the book are all my coauthor’s work, then we gathered as many weird things as we could find to set the scene and photograph it. We made the bloodstains with corn syrup and food coloring, and I photo-edited them into the scene because they didn’t want to get that anywhere near their sketchbook.
(If you’ve played the IntroComp version you probably recognize what scene from the game this represents—though really, this barely captures a fraction of the mess in Rosa’s apartment.)
Games have been received and are currently being processed!
I’m currently going through and updating the entries, but they scripts Aaron made are working pretty great so far! I love the way it makes the games look. A preview:
For authors, I’ll be sending out the test site once I fix all the things I know are wrong (for instance, the script messed up on some italics and links in this entry). Once I fix those I’ll message you all!

Also, to ensure people get the games on April 1st I’m probably going to publish the website at midnight US central time on Mar 31st. I did that last year hoping noone would notice and I could ‘sneak’ it in and announce it later, but people noticed right away. So I’ll probably publish it, make an announcement, and then bump the announcement in the morning. I work Monday morning and don’t have access to Spring Thing stuff on my work computer.
Now I imagine Spring Thing judges setting their alarm clock to ring at midnight to start refreshing their browsers until the goodies pop up….
Hopefully with the alarm clock set for DST (whose happened this night…) and anyway, US Central midnight is morning in EU (07:00) and UK (06:00)…
