Hi all! So this game was originally released in 2007 and has been long overdue for re-release. It has now been fully revamped with many of the original issues resolved. We’re now looking for beta testers to give this new version a full play through. We’re looking for a mix of those who’ve played the old version and those playing new so we can get new fixes as well as fixes from the older version. Let us know if you’re interested!

The Chinese Room is a comedy puzzle text adventure based entirely around philosophical thought experiments. Escape the Chinese room, free the denizens of Plato’s Cave, find out what it’s like to be a bat.
Think Phantom Tollbooth meets Sophie’s World via Simon the Sorcerer.

Thanks for playing. Which version are you playing? The original 2007 version has a lot of bugs that have been updated in the latest beta version.
If you’re interested, I’d be happy to send over a copy of this version once you’ve finished the original version to see how it compares to the original game.
