Gentlemens and ladies,

For the 2025 Amnesty Day I offer the earlier, adv3, version, of Isekai,
as of July 2023 (that is, the last adv3 version prior of porting to
a3Lite), so technically is abandoned code to be amnestied.

I have deleted only the object files, and the ßtest reports in the ßtest
directory, but I have added, as a bonus, the current version of my notes
& scrapbook directory, but I warn that the file inotes.t contain major,
if not massive, spoilers for Isekai.

Now, for a due roadmap:

the main file is, obviously, isekai.t; then in ietuye.t the PC is
defined (including the “scientific” definitions... so please tread
carefully if not European ;) )

Because I implement the framework first, there’s the initial
implementation of the two major NPC in iazuj.t and imiyai.t; and on the
same “initial framing sketch state” are the ithink.t, which is a mere
general test of “how it works”.

Needless to say, ilower.t, iupper.t and itower.t and the rather tiny
ioutside.t (originally was to be much smaller, and initially the game
started outside the Nest, but I felt the initial opening was rather
awkward, and the living room became the initial room) are the map files,
(iluroz was still on paper, literally); if one looks at isekai.t3m.bak,
one can see that originally ilower.t and iupper.t was a single file,
named icentral.t

inotes.t and iscrapbke.t are the earlier version of the bonus files,
iscrapbook.t later being split in three distinct files for the sake of
pgup and pgdown...
of course, the same warning above applies also to the earlier inotes.t...

Lastly, but not least, the extension of isekai.t3 is what is: the story
file ! So if you feel so adventurous to explore a Nest still rough and
full of very questionable english, please do (aside that comparing the
source and the story file is the best mean of understanding the former...)

now, on the subdirs:

/ßtest: sadly I lost the 0.15 sources, but the 0.24alpha 2 sources was
preserved, so technically I have amnistied *two* versions of adv3
Isekai. Both have their story files, so you can appreciate the
adventurous courage of my alpha testers. (their names are rightfully in
the CREDITS of 0.25…)

/ext: contains the adv3 scenes.t, which is interesting, because was
clearly Eric’s starting point of a3Lite’s scenes.t

/tstme: contains strings of inputs which can be copypasted into
QTADS/Frob for quickly reaching determined points & states in the game.
Of course, you can abuse them as sort of walktrough ;)

/obj is empty, of course, lest the .zip became too big.

Now, perhaps the most interesting one, the

/bonus directory: contains the *CURRENT*, as of March 29, 2025, version
of the notes files; one can figure the evolution of the narrative in
comparing the 2023 and 2025 versions of inotes.t; iscrapboke.t is the
2025 version of iscrapboke.t, and iscrapbk2.t contain the scrapped long
texts and (controversial ?) scenes, and because of the latter, I suggest
having a *very* open mind about said scenes... then iscrpbk3 is by far the
most interesting one: the portrait prior of its separation from
iupper.t, roughly at the eve of the development of *The Portrait*, with
less components than in *The Portrait* (and the current implementation),
34 versus 46. but still one of the most complex single object in IF.
Needless to say, it’s also a temporary apology for still NOT having
released *The Portrait*’s source code...

of course, I have kept the .bak files around, for giving to our fellow
the fun of fooling with diff(1) and embarassing myself ;)

I hope that this source don’t become controversial; enjoy it, and feel
free to reuse the code in your works ! Now I must point that is GPL,
albeit perhaps the “Zarf license” should be more appropriate.

Happy Amnesty day !

And Best regards from Italy,
dott. Piergiorgio.
