Wake up.
Open your eyes.
The room is cold, and you want to pull the blankets over your head and go back to sleep.
You've been sleeping all day, you idiot. Don't be silly. You can't sleep all night too.
(text-colour:red)[(text-style:"bold","shadow")[IT'S TIME TO GET UP.]]
Good. You got up. Don't you feel so much better now?
(text-colour:(hsl:0,0,0.5333,0.3))[(text-colour:(hsl:0,0,0.5333,0.5))[//(not really)//]]
You walk into the bathroom connected to your room and look around. You see a bottle of pills on the shelf above the sink. Picking up the bottle, you turn it around in your hand to investigate. It has your name written on the side.
These are your meds.
(text-style:"bold","shadow")[(text-colour:red)[DON'T TAKE THEM.]]
(text-colour:green)[[[DON'T TAKE YOUR MEDS]]]
(text-colour:transparent)[[[TAKE THEM]]]There.
That's better.
Don't you feel so much better now that you don't have to think about those pills?
So bothersome. They don't help anyway.
You put the small orange bottle back onto the shelf and start to walk out the door.
Maybe you should throw those nasty pills away. They're probably poisonous. Doesn't that sound like a good idea? Then you don't ever have to worry about them again.
(text-colour:green)[[[THROW THE PILLS AWAY]]]
(text-colour:transparent)[[[NO]]]You try to swallow the two pills with water as perscribed. At first you can't swallow, and the bitter taste in your mouth makes you want to spit the pills into the sink.
It would be so much easier to just not take them, really. What's the point of them anyway?
They could be dangerous.
(text-colour:transparent)[(text-style:"bold","shadow")[DON'T TAKE THE PILLS.]]
(text-colour:green)[[[LISTEN TO ME]]]
(text-colour:transparent)[[[TAKE YOUR MEDICATION]]]You spit those bitter pills into the sink and wash your mouth out with some water.
There.
That's better.

(text-colour:green)[[[THROW THE PILLS AWAY]]]
(text-colour:transparent)[[[NO]]]Fine, if you insist. I'm sure you'll regret it later.
You struggle to swallow, but finally manage to do it without gagging. By now, your whole mouth is coated with the bitter white powder of the pills. Are you happy now?
You can leave the bathroom now. There isn't anything else for you to do in here.
[[EXIT TO YOUR ROOM]]
[[STAY IN THE BATHROOM]](text-colour:grey)[Your Text Here]You open the pill bottle and dump it into the sink, turning on the tap and waiting for the pills to break into white powder and wash down the drain. It takes a few minutes, but at last, every remnant of the pills is gone. You throw the orange bottle into the trash bin by the toilet, feeling a sense of satisfaction for making the right choice.
There's nothing else to do in the bathroom.
[[.EXIT TO YOUR ROOM.]]
[[.STAY IN THE BATHROOM.]] Fine. I guess you want to trap yourself into making that choice every time you come in here. There's nothing more to in the bathroom.
[[.EXIT TO YOUR ROOM.]]
[[.STAY IN THE BATHROOM.]] You step out of the bathroom and look around at the sterile white walls of your room. Moonlight from the large window streams in and falls over your bed. You've always preferred the soft light that came in during the night to the harsh white lights that lit Asylum during the day. Everything just seemed more comforting in the dark. You glance over to your bed and see something above the headboard that looks like a hole in the wall.
[[INVESTIGATE]]
[[IT'S PROBABLY NOTHING]]Why do you want to stay here? It's even colder in the bathroom than it was in your room. Do you need to take a piss or something?
[[YES I DO]]
[[NO, I'LL LEAVE]]Fine.
You walk over to the toilet, lift up your gown, pull down your underwear, and pee. Once you're done, you wash your hands and stand up to walk over to the door.
[[EXIT TO YOUR ROOM]]
[[STAY]]Thank you. You're being reasonable today.
[[EXIT TO YOUR ROOM]] I'm not even giving you a choice this time. You have to leave.
[[LEAVE]]
(text-colour:transparent)[[[STAY]]]Good. You did your business, now it's time to do something interesting. I'm glad you didn't try to stay in the bathroom again.
[[EXIT TO YOUR ROOM]]I guess we'll be stuck here forever.
What the fuck is wrong with you anyway? Why do you want to stay in the bathroom forever?
Whatever. I don't even care anymore. Do what you want. Leave or stay, I don't care.
[[THERE'S NOTHING FUN, I'M LEAVING]]
[[ROT HERE FOREVER]]Thank whatever higher power there could possibly be.
Me, maybe. Thank me.
[[EXIT TO YOUR ROOM]] You stand in the bathroom for a long time, doing nothing but stare at the wall. You stand there until you start to die of thirst. At least there's a sink here, so you can drink water. There's still no food, however, so you eventually die of hunger in a few weeks.
[[GAME OVER]](text-colour:blue)[''CONGRATULATIONS! YOU WERE A FUCKING IDIOT!'']You step out of the bathroom and look around at the sterile white walls of your room. [[.EXIT TO YOUR ROOM.]] You walk over to your bed and kneel on top of the mattress so you can get a better view of the hole in the wall. Upon closer inspection, you see that the white wallpaper is peeling from the wall a little here, giving way to underlaying black paint. That's strange. People don't usually paint their walls black. Still, it isn't your job to worry about the interior decorating preferences of the previous owners of Asylum.
You look around the room and see the door that exits to the hall is slightly open. That's strange, the caretakers usually lock the doors at night. Still, it could be fun to explore outside of your room without being watched.
[[MOVE OUT INTO THE HALL]]
[[CLOSE THE DOOR, IT'S AGAINST THE RULES TO LEAVE AT NIGHT]]You decide not to investigate the hole in the wall. You look around the room again, and see the door that exits to the hall is slightly open. That's strange, the caretakers usually lock the doors at night. Still, it could be fun to explore outside of your room without being watched.
[[MOVE OUT INTO THE HALL]]
[[CLOSE THE DOOR, IT'S AGAINST THE RULES TO LEAVE AT NIGHT]]Hmm... are you sure that there isn't anything there? It seems strange that there's a hole in the wall when everything is usually so well-kept.
