Like a lot of you here, it all began for me when I was staying the night with a friend and his dad would bring home a dumb terminal that he would hook up to the phone line with an acoustic modem. I think he worked for Honeywell I can’t remember. But, what I do remember is, after playing star trek, seeing an ascii picture of snoopy, we were told to type 6 Fateful Letters, ADVENT and the outside world disappeared. After about a week of playing, I told myself that I would do whatever has to be done to be involved somehow with computers. And it came to pass, I have been involved in the computer/networking industry since 1989 and currently a Systems Administrator for a Land Survey company in Dallas. Look forward to hanging with you like minded individuals and maybe even fanboy-ing a couple of my favorite authors.
