Gwen

I’m a beginner programmer and IF writer. I am currently working on a Erotic Interactive Fiction game. So far the working title of the game is Show Me! I’m trying to set myself a deadline of March 14th to have something completed. Assuming I can meet that deadline this will be my first game I’ve completed.

I have tried making games before, I’ve dabbled in unity and python and have tried inform in the past. Right now I’m focused primarily on Inform 7 for creating the game I’m working on and most of the other ideas I have for games I think would be best suited for Inform with one exception which I may try learning Twine to do.

As for writing I have published essays in the past in the form of zines, as well as writing poetry for most of my life but I am quite new both to writing fiction and interactive fiction specifically.

If there is a main theme I hope to explore, not just in interactive fiction but in most of my art, it is the idea of pycho-sexual-politics. To be more specific with what I mean by that, to explore the connection between our emotions, our desires, and the reality we find ourselves within. Why do we feel the way we do about certain things? Why do we desire the things we do? How does not only the strictly political landscape (laws etc) shape these things, but also the social (normative) landscape? And most importantly, what does it mean to break these bounds?

Beyond writing IF and programming I also create noise, a form of anti-music. As well I write (and hopefully soon create) movies.

I use no pronouns, so please just use my name (Gwen) when referring to me or non-gendered language such as “that person”. (E.x. I was talking to this person who’s getting into writing IF).
