Pretty sure it’s not actually broken at question 11 (not sure about what’s going on at 33 though).
Broke on 11 for me again in Firefox. Seems pretty consistently not-worky. Maybe it depends on what your answers were.
That’s working exactly as designed - try answering with one of the blank answers and moving ahead.
OK, I braved the ads and got yellow.
Summary
You are all that is bright and joyful. You are the sunbeams and the flowers that drink them. You are lemons and bananas. You are sour and sweet. You are all the beauty that cannot stay. You are yellow, you are perfect. please visit me̵ a̷g̸a̵i̷n̷.
Which feels quite ironic given how curmudgeonly the whole thing made me.
Some of the questions needed me to submit them multiple times, which was most extreme with the ending which I had to spend about a minute resubmitting over and over (every so often missing the checkbox and getting told off for not selecting an option - wow this really was the average player’s experience with a parser game). It feels like that’s what it’s doing for me at 33 in Firefox/uBlock Origin, but without ever working, so I wonder if the bad experience is related to loading interstitial ads or something.
EDIT (trying to condense my griping into a more nuanced take):
I think it’s really cool when people make games and/or narratives out of software that isn’t intended for that. But if the platform you are using is trying to choke me with ads, I probably will not be able to enjoy it very much. I think I would have much preferred this as a Twine game or a Neocities site.
Although I bet the regular users of uquiz.com got a kick out of it, which is half the appeal of making something like this. So I should probably just go back to the Old Person Internet.
My color is blue, and I’m very disappointed by the lack of a “petting the cat in the corner” option.
I guess I’ll never know as the questions bombed out at #11, I could choose but didn’t know what I was choosing.
Same!!
Also, I’m just going to say for anyone trying this for the first time: the blank choices at question 11 are intentional. You’ll see them a couple more times as the quiz continues.
No, that’s on purpose… You’re meant to get no text.
on q 8 I was like. this is 113 questions…no.
Oh. Well. If that’s how it goes, I’ll let them guess the rest of my answers. Also, Wasn’t happy with some of the choices as you are forced to choose an answer even if you don’t agree with any.
Very disappointed that Ultraviolet wasn’t one of the colors you could be.
Green here, though I didn’t like that shade of neon green.
One of the more depressing passages (toward the end, so don’t click if you haven’t completed the game):
If you push yourself to success you stress yourself to hell. If you live for comfort you become numb. If you find a balance, you become a slave to routine.
(next question)
And in the end you met your demise by some uncontrollable event before you could truly reach your destiny.
I’ve never taken an allegorical quiz before, and I’m happy it ended on a more optimistic note.
Yeah, I also wish the author used a different quiz platform – one where I wasn’t constantly having to scroll because of the oversized ad at the bottom. But other than that, I enjoyed the message, I liked the illustrations, and I got a kick out of the reveal that although I was worried about making the wrong choice, it didn’t matter.
But goodness … when people say they like green, they don’t normally don’t mean the neon shade!
Okay, that was a slog and a half and I’m left wondering if anything other than the favorite color question actually matters to the result.
Anyways, I got purple, my favorite color and the description includes a lot of the symbolism that makes purple my favorite.
Slightly annoyed with myself that I wasted part of my lunch hour on that, but I suppose that was sort of the point and it did make me think.
Anyway, I got red!
When I encountered the blank questions and the messed-up type, I thought it might be on purpose, but that annoyed me and I quit, so I’m going to pick my own color: gray. Like a veined gray with lighter, silvery streaks and a darker slate. Maybe some specks of greenish gray in there, too.
I sent this to some friends, and two of them liked it and one laughed at the fact that I somehow tricked him into playing a text adventure.
Another blue piscis here!
My favorite color is black, regardless of what the test told me.
