Updating a game on IFDB

Worst thing that could happen is that it’s rejected (but that won’t happen). :slightly_smiling_face:

Admittedly, there’s a passage on the upload form which says:

Please include as much information as possible: title, author, version number, copyright license, what platform it runs on.

So, the “platform” thing could give one the impression that this is for executables/games only.

But on the same upload form, right at the top, it explicitly says:

“Use this form to donate IF-related files. Games, development tools, solutions, articles, and documentation are all gratefully accepted.”

(my emphasis)

And on the archive’s homepage:

Since 1992, the Archive has collected thousands of text adventures, text adventure development tools, articles, essays, hint files, walkthroughs […].

So, no worries, be bold and go ahead! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just wondering, did the walkthroughs uploaded to IFComp get saved anywhere on ifarchive?

Edit: Never mind, I got it. The walkthroughs are in https://ifarchive.org/if-archive/games/competition2021/Games/<game>/Walkthrough.

You can upload the walkthrough file to CASA, IFarchive or something like that and then put a link in IFDB.
