Yikes, that sounds like a nightmare! If you have some time before the IFComp deadline, would you be willing to try the first screen or two of my entry to see if the clickables work now? I have another person testing it with a screen reader too, but I’d like to make sure it works as universally as possible.
And if my hacks do end up working well here, I’ll post them publicly so that other Dialog authors can use them too. It’s always better when the interpreter Just Works.
And in all fairness, Orca has gotten better at working around things that aren’t properly coded, I’ve learned tricks that have become second nature to try, and some of my gripes with JavaScript and other rich web content evaporated when I upgraded from a 2011 Intel i7 with 4GB of RAM and a platter system drive to a 2021 Ryzen 7 with 16 GB of RAM and a solid state drive.
