PAWs was only released for the Spectrum and CP/M machines. The earlier Quill was on a lot more machines and, although nowhere near as powerful, it can still produce a decent adventure. There’s been several new Quilled adventures in the past few years that I’ve really enjoyed.
As all the “Gilsoft” systems share a common “language”, it’s relatively easy to move code between the Quill, the PAWs, and DAAD. It’s a case of picking the system that best fits the platform and the adventure you want to create.
Not really, but anyway, Quill doesn’t care about verbs & nouns… it just looks at them as two words. And PAWs doesn’t really care about the order of verb & noun. I’ve specifically exploited that fact in one of my previous adventure games.
