It has been done… I give you full screen mode.
Active link is now https://www.storymate.dev and the itch.io implementation is proooobably a little out of date. Need to check with team.

Wow! this is a massive improvement!
My silly test story now fits in just a fraction of the page. Beforehand i was painting the house through the letterbox.
