Is there away to change the background color?

Are you using 6M62 or 10.1? It’s easier in 6M62, but quite a bit harder in 10.1.

With the newest version, 10.1, it’s a lot more trouble than it’s worth, I’m afraid, with one exception… if you’re familiar with HTML/CSS, it would be straightforward to customize the status line’s background color as it appears when you release with an interpreter by modifying the CSS. (If you wanted to change the background color dynamically, that would be significantly more complicated.)

It should be a lot easier in the next release of Inform (but there’s no schedule for when that’ll be).

Thank you. I made a title screen and hate the black bar at top. black status is fine for game. I am just starting so i have alot to learn. Title screen doesn’t made a game, just biting off a little to much for a newcomer.

For toggling the display of the status line you’re in luck!

Note that you don’t need the hide/unhide commands; they were included just to demo the feature.
