Winter-Over was fun to make, but also difficult and stressful for a variety of reasons. In comparison, starting on Lady Thalia 4 has been like sitting down to a big bowl of homemade mac and cheese. It’s good to be back!
Whew, it felt pretty touch and go for a while, but I’m comfortable saying that I’ll have two back garden games in this year’s Spring Thing. It’s been two years since my last major game! Too long.
One is a wholesome story with a cat and the other is… not.
Both are Inform games with handcrafted art by Callie Smith.
Hope to see everyone there!
I am assisting my daughter (7) to design a unicorn micro-game and hope to put in as much of her own words as possible. Back garden deffinitely, very possibly it will end up in the antology with other students, but I need to warn reviewers they will be reading a hybyrid piece of half adult - half kid work. I am sure it will be obvious which phrases are whose. I will add a note in the intro passage to the game all the same…like: father-daugter creative think tank
Testing for @radiosity as I slowly get my brain back into functional after a TIA and CSF leak related to my brain growth. Been really struggling to create due to health issues, but hoping I can make something with my game Pindan which illustrates what I’ve been going through. Aiming for psychological/existential horror, eg world breaking down around you. Submitted my intention, we’ll see if I can follow up.
