Oh and for visually oriented folks… Here are my feeble attempts at coming up with something for an abandoned 500 word entry based on a very old game…

(I saved the story parts etc but could not get the visuals working the way I want them to. Maybe when I get more experience in writing javascript.)

(Yeah I know the back side of the dodecahedron shape is drawn wrong, no need to rub it in  .)

I love all these diagrams. I’ve definitely seen something similar in one of my own notebooks (some arcane correspondences for a dead project that I can no longer even remember). I’ll see if I can dig it out later.

Exactly so! I’ve been chipping away at this game with political animals for ages (think Animal Farm but in a zoo and less 1-to-1 allegory). I’ll get there eventually.

Do I smell a wumpus in a nearby room?

Here are some notes for the Social Democracy game. These are basically write-only since my handwriting is so illegible…

Well, of course the mechanics are deeply rooted in the original Hunt the Wumpus - Wikipedia game. But I like to take old ideas, brush them off and tweak things slightly. In my game the player was not going to hunt a Wumpus, but rather xenomorphs. Alien: Romulus - Wikipedia rekindled my interest for the Alien franchise. Maybe one day when I learned enough JavaScript to get the user interface I want I can make it happen. I got the game mechanics itself pretty well done (in Dendry), but need to work on the visualization of things.

Speaking of design notes, I found 300+ pages of design notes for about 3 games, one of which is a massive sprawler (takes up most of the pages). Super happy and yet defeated that I still won’t have finished my current WIP after, like, 2 years. (It’s been just over 1 year so far and I’ve gotten nowhere.)

These are so lovely. Most of my notes are digital.

I found some physical notes! I tried to light them mysteriously (readability is undesirable as I don’t want to spoil it).

This (outdated) state machine for my in-progress game might be of some interest:

What software you have used for the state machine ?

Best regards from Italy,

I had to put some of my belongings in storage a while back but the upside is I have a large metal wall to play with.
