The Spirit of Garmon is a parser-based game for The BDB Project. It’s the first of two in the Zoran the Warrior series. It’s a fantasy-based game somewhat like one of the short stories featuring Conan the Barbarian, although this realisation only came to me after the game was finished. It has quite a few NPCs, some friendly, but most not so friendly. You can get killed, but there’s always advance warning if you take note of the clues. You can always UNDO if you do get killed.
The game is compiled to z5, so you’ll need a Z-code interpreter to play it, as I haven’t done the web version yet.
This is beta 2. Beta 1 was tested by two people, so it’s now pretty stable. Beta 2 has been tested by one person and I’d like to get at least two more testers for beta 2. If you’d like to test it, send me a private message and I’ll send you the url and password. This is not for a competition, so there’s no time limit, but I’d like to get it released early in August.
