I have a new game that is set in a pre-historic period (let’s call it the stone age) and am now looking for testers. You play the part of an early Homo sapiens man that is looking for a mate. In the process, you have to avoid wild beasts and use primitive tools.
This is being developed for The BDB Project, so if you’ve played any of those games, you’ll know the sort of thing to expect. Let’s call it a retro-style puzzle fest.
There is a little maze at the start, but it’s pretty easy to map if you pick up on the clues. I’ve removed the sudden death and unwinnable situations that were in the original and did my best to remove the moon logic. Was I successful? This is the one aspect that I really want feedback on.
There is an in-game HINT command and I can provide a map and solution if you get desperate, but, hopefully, you won’t need them.
The game is small, but you need to examine everything carefully to find the clues that will lead you to a successful conclusion.
If you’re interested in testing, please send me a personal message and I’ll send you the url and password. The web page is already done, so you can play it online or download the z5 file to play in your favourite Z-code interpreter.
