Playtesters wanted for a retro Amstrad CPC text adventure

Way back in June (seems like so long ago!) I released Ghostship Delgado, a retro text adventure for BBC Micro computers (and modern computers using an emulator).
And thanks to some helpful people here many of my typos were cleaned up before the final release!

I’ve just finished an Amstrad CPC conversion of Ghostship Delgado. It’s essentially the same as the BBC Micro version but can run directly on vintage Amstrad CPC hardware, as well as on a modern emulator on Windows or Mac. Once again I’m looking for some willing volunteers to test.

I’ve done a straight conversion from the BBC to Amstrad CPC, I’ve literally needed to re-key everything as there’s no handy conversion tools. So I’m looking for testers using either emulation or even a real Amstrad for feedback to report bugs and spelling/typo/grammar problems.

I’m keeping as a closed beta until release so if you’re interested please ask me questions or just drop me a pm and I can send you a copy of the disk image + set-up instructions. I’d be grateful for any contribution, even if you have a limited amount of time for it.

There’s a bit more background on the game on my itch.io page… Ghostship Delgado (Amstrad CPC / Plus) by Tony Kingsmill

Thanks!

Interesting… My first stab at creating IF was on an Amstrad CPC. I did not get far. And the machine is long gone.

If you’re interested in taking a trip down memory lane and a look at Ghostship Delgado I’d be happy to direct you to a Windows or Mac based software emulator. Just drop me a line!
