The deadline passed and the competition seems open! I’ve made my game public and also the game by DC which I helped with.

This is the game created by DC. Originally intended as a gift to his daughter, he decided to release it to the public, and I suggested this ParserComp as a venue.

He did 100% of the writing and design and I was hired to do all the coding. Essentially he’d give me a transcript which I’d implement, and then whenever there were missing responses, I’d send him a list to fill in. So everything in the game is his complete vision.

I have a game as well up that’s just mine (Grand Island Bank Robbery). Looking over the others, I’m excited to try out everything people have put out, they look like a lot of fun!

Yay, eager to dig in - looks like mostly familiar faces in the author list, and all of them have made games I’ve enjoyed!

What a lovely intimate competition! This one somehow escaped my radar. I’m looking forward to playing all these, but I will echo someone else in saying I prefer the ability to play online when I can.

I wish itch.io allowed the feature to follow a jam as a player. I know I could just join the entry, but as a game designer, I also like knowing an accurate field count. I’ll just keep check there and here.

Thank you so much for the kind words.

You can join ParserComp without entering a game. That would make it easy to play and rate gams as you are inclined.
