Wow Congrats on reviewing all entries~!!
⌠Bezâs relationship with his twin (good) and parents (very, very bad) is one of the main themes of the piece?
Thank you for this review, which I think was my very first one this year and therefore even more beloved as I chewed my fingernails wondering if the game was okay or not. And thank you for the balance of positives and negatives⌠you are not wrong about my stats being somewhat vague
I shall attempt to fix that for the post-comp version.
Would it be okay for me to list you as a reviewer in-game? As Noah Si or whatever name youâd like me to use.
Thank you very much! I am fine with this arrangement. For the benefit of those on both the CoG and IF forums, you can use Noah Si (RockmanX).
As per Emily Shortâs tradition, here is the round up for IF Spaceworld 2023:
This year had plenty of good parser entries. As someone who is not familiar with the parser side of things, this was impressive. The parser side really had plenty of entries with a strong story and gameplay. Humor also played a big role in making these entries worth playing. There was a good variety of genres as well.
Recommended: Dr Ludwig, Little Match Girl, Honk, Prince Quisborne, Assembly, Sea in a Sieve, Hand Me Down, Lake Adventure, One King to Loot, Eat the Eldritch, Bat Lady Quest, Beat Witch, Mayor McFreeze, Milliways, All Hands Abandon Ship.
On the choice side, we still have some really solid Twine stuff. A couple of the puzzle variety, something that parser normally does. The Choicescript base performed above my expectations- did the CoG side really catch on? I donât know why, but why did boats feature so prominently in many entries?
Recommended: Bali B&B, Puppet Head, Paintball Wizard, Dysfluent, Fix your Motherâs Printer, Osiris, Gift of What you Notice More, Whaleâs Keeper, One Does Not Simply Fry, the Ship.
Thatâs all for now, folks.
