Making IFDB's tag system more like VNDB?

I wonder if it’s worth changing anything to begin with. A more robust system feels nice because it has structure and process, but is there evidence that a significant amount of IFDB’s traffic is experiencing issues due to the limitations of the current system? If not, why add a bunch of complexity to solve issues people may not be having?
