Looking for critical friends: LivingDraft, a story that grows from reader ideas

Absolutely non commercial, but looking for feedback.

Hi all — first post here, glad to have found this group.

I’ve been building something called LivingDraft: a story published one chapter at a time, where after each chapter readers can leave an idea — a twist, a question, a character, a memory, or just a feeling about what should happen next. Those ideas feed directly into how the next chapter gets written. No one, including me, knows where the story ends.

Technically it’s live and working (v1), but before opening it up more broadly, I want honest feedback from people who actually think about interactive/collaborative narrative — which is why I’m posting here rather than just asking friends.

I’m not looking for praise. I’m looking for honest observations, especially on things like:

**•**	Was the story enjoyable to read?

**•**	Did contributing an idea feel worthwhile, or more like a gimmick?

**•**	Did you get curious about what happens next?

**•**	Anything confusing, frustrating, or that broke immersion?

**•**	Would you come back for the next chapter?

**•**	Did it actually make you feel *part of* the story, or just adjacent to it?

If something didn’t work, I want to know. If something surprised or delighted you, I’d love to hear that too — your feedback will directly shape how this develops before any wider release.

If you’re up for trying it and sharing your honest take, I have created a website with the name livingdraft and extension life , which I thought that name covers the idea well.

Happy to answer questions about how it works under the hood as well.

(Links to Chapter 1 seemed broken at the time I looked, unfortunately.)

Who writes the chapters? Chapter 2 has lots of LLM tells.
