But seriously, it was delightful to be allowed behind the scenes for a bit! The game ended up gripping me more than I expected it to. I feel like the synchronous session happened almost by accident; I was preparing to send in a transcript, and then had so much fun chatting about bugs and learning fascinating background info that I decided it was well worth a few hours of sleep to get to see this cool project through to the end.
(As a side note, I chose to abstain from voting despite the rule clarification, as I got a little too invested with CC to feel comfortable weighing in on the final score. Looking back, I believe it would have gotten my vote regardless of bias, as I thought it hit a great balance of being short and sweet while still packing an emotional punch and some fun twists. But I have to say I also adore the kind of experimentation found in TVdNP, and was immensely impressed by what the chef managed to serve up in just 5 days!)
Hats off to contestants and commentators for the entertaining and inspiring show—and for providing a fantastic showcase of Inform 7 on all sides!
