I’d been thinking the game I’ve written 3 lines of had very little chance of being finished in time… but a whole bunch more wrote itself in my head while I was hanging laundry. We’ll see.
There is still time
The deadline is still some weeks away…
I’m thinking I’ll have that much more time with ParserComp done. IntroComp will start, but I will put off IntroComp to write Single Choice Jam code, since IntroComp ends later.
The daily grind, man. The daily grind. Phew!
A biiit less than 2 weeks left!
Working on it working on it… feverishly trying to hide that gigantic monster someplace so my PC can
stumble upon it unawares OOPS spoiler alert
Don’t stress me!
Playing through Zhanko’s bitsy game and its main page, I saw a name that looked familiar…
Adam LeDoux, who at the very least shares the same last name as the person who wrote The Elfen Maiden: A Comedy of Error Messages for 2011 IFComp!
(Sadly it isn’t on his itch.io page. I hope he hasn’t disowned it!)
Assuming no case of mistaken identity, it’s cool to see yet one more person go beyond IFComp to bigger things!
Just finished my own submission :^)
Look how ahead of the curve I was:
Well, this was interesting to make. Not the game I intended, but I found this satisfying to design and program:
It looks really nice, but my general inexperience with parser games led to me not knowing how to do anything … I don’t know how to talk to people, if that’s what I want to do.
Hints?
You don’t talk to people, but you do something else. It’s likely the least expected thing you’re supposed to do when you’re starting out a text adventure game and something you would do only if you are stuck.
If you are still having difficulty (and this is fine because it’s intended!)
Write hear or listen.
Thank you for that, I wouldn’t know to do that if I was stuck (as I was, and I didn’t)
The ending (an ending?) seemed sudden …
Are we allowed to post links to our completed submissions here?
Well … multiple people have, so I’d say yes
First time Jam participant! For some reason this sounded really fun to me, so here’s my entry. Hope you like it!

Managed to get my entry in! Thanks for organizing, this was a fun one.
I had this weird short story idea right before the jam was announced, so I appreciate the push to finish it:
Excited to check out some of the other entries and see how other people handled the constraint!
