i’d prefer an anonymous discourse poll fwiw, esp since it isnt the “interactive fiction demographic survey” it’s the “intfiction” one, i.e. this forum.

Ah, and just when I thought I had a handle on what people preferred. I guess it depends on whether you think it should be an Intfiction demographic survey or a general interactive fiction demographic survey. I came in thinking about the first one, but people pointed out that I might as well do the second, and now I’m not sure myself. Guess I’ll end up making a meta-poll on the form of the poll after all. It also lets me test out how Discourse polls work.
As a reminder, if we did Google Forms, I’d still include a question about which communities the respondent frequents so I can slice the results by community.

Edit: Even if Discourse wins out, I guess I could additionally use Google Forms for anonymous short answer questions, alongside the Discourse poll. Stuff like favorite IF game, maybe?
Edit 2: Discourse is most definitely the winner. I’ve closed the poll, since I don’t need more responses at this point. Will get working on the Discourse survey.
Hmm, maybe starting out by just surveying users of this forum via Discourse polls would be good, and a wider-reaching IF community survey could be a future goal?

I wouldn’t be opposed. In the future, maybe I could do a general Google Forms survey, or someone else could. Since I’m fond of surveys, I’d answer any demographic survey that comes my way.
