Instincts is a Twine adaptation of a short story published in 2016. It’s my first attempt at interactive fiction.
The work makes heavy use of ambient sounds and sound effects to create an authentic, immersive, and reactive atmosphere (headphones for the best experience!).
I designed it testing in Firefox, so I feel as though it mostly optimized for use in that. I’ve had it played on Chrome and Safari as well, but have issues with the aligned text popping onto the screen.
Hopefully the sound files link alright. I would welcome any and all constructive feedback.
