Hey Andreas. So thatâs an odd one, itâs just a YouTube video so providing youâre in YouTube and click play then it should play.
Yes, is the answer. Two reasons why I opted for a video though.
Firstly, and this is the main reason, due to the bit of pushback I had initially on releasing Hypochondriac (I hadnât contacted Tom Bok at that point to get his blessing) I felt it was important to explain and provide assurance that I had carried out as much âdue diligenceâ as possible. I have a small YouTube channel, thatâs the medium I communicate best with, so I used it. As I say in the video right off; most people wonât be interested in me so I immediately point out that the link is in the description notes and people can skip the video and go straight for that.
Secondly, and Iâm just bearing my soul here, I wanted to promote my channel at the same time hence linking to the video rather than the file.
Adam
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I got the video through that link.
I finally caught up and added the new Wishbringer and Journey sources to https://eblong.com/infocom/ .
Thanks again for pointing them out.
Jason Scott linked to this repository, which just appeared this week:
This is MDL Zork with a release date of 12/12/77. (As recorded in the US NEWS & DUNGEON REPORT text in-game.) This is the earliest known Zork source code that Iâm aware of. Prior to this, we two MDL Zork releases dated 1979 and 1981.
I note that this version starts âWELCOME TO DUNGEONâ. The 1979 and 1981 versions say âWELCOME TO ZORKâ.
