I have to say that watching the Sims live their little virtual sitcom lives does the same to me as watching/feeding fish in an aquarium. Amusing, but not quite art.

I actually haven’t played the Sims at all, but it seems to me from reading Alice and Kev and Emily Short’s description of Delores and Doofus that you definitely can get narrative out of it.
