With the data through end of November now available, these are the post-Fest stats (in comparison to data from end of August):
- 14 new taggers have applied at least one tag to one game (1.1% increase)
- 195 new tags have been created (3.8% increase)
- 1,535 cases in which a tagger has made use of a tag new to to the tagger for the first time (7.0% increase)
- 6,981 cases in which a tagger has tagged a game new to the tagger for the first time (25.3% increase)
- 10,498 new taggings (novel combination of user/tag/game) (15.9% increase)
Regrettably, most of those metrics are probably not entirely accurate for purposes of evaluating TagFest. The way that the data seems to work, the only time-tracking is based on the set of tags applied by a given person, and all all tags by that person are updated with the timestamp of the most recent submission. If, for example, you had previously entered five tags for a given game and added a new tag during October (and not tagged that game since), then all 6 taggings from you for that game would show the timestamp of when you entered the 6th one. That means both that some tags originally applied before TagFest could look as though they were applied during it, and that some tags first applied during TagFest could look as though they were applied after it.
Among TagFest registered participants, the stats for taggings with timestamps in October are:
