I have made a new system to play z5, gull and blorb formats.

It is available for OSX, IpadOS and iOS, game saves are automatically sync’d via iCloud.

I have a couple of extra features I am trying out:

  • An automated Map creator, I fear this will not work well and I will remove…
  • Ability to take notes, and have them sync between devices.
  • ability to upload pdf materials for games, again sync’ing. For manuals, maps, other things for use with a given game.

Anyone feel like testing? This is my first app on the App Store, and I am a bit rough at development…

It seems to be working OK.

How would you compare this to Cairn? https://cairnif.com/

I did not see this before I worked on this. They are very similar in features, mine supports glulx, and I have a notes feature as well. I intend on keeping Lampwick free. cairn seems to be more polished than mine is currently…

I basically built this because Frotz relies on dropbox, and I just wanted iCloud support for myself, and while I was at it I added some features I thought would be cool. I am glad to be so similar to Cairn which looks to be well thought out and well executed.

My next effort will be for an inform7 editor and compiler for the iPad. But I don’t want to duplicate effort from the official Inform7 project if they have one in the works..
