How it was then and how it is now

Every single review so far has talked about how this game was incomprehensible. So can we, like, talk about that? Does anyone have any interpretations?

Also, the line puzzle was kind of hard for me because it’s difficult to judge the distances - I was never sure if a line is 7/12 or 8/12…


I think for the line puzzles the spacing doesn’t appear to be divided equally into 12 slots, at least not after the first time it shows up. This seems consistent with how the first shape puzzle is impossible to get right (the game always rejects your first two guesses). It’s like a reflection of the tense and confusing situation the protagonist is in, often trying and failing to remember things.
